Youth Connections Academy Awards

Students enrolled in the Law & Public Safety Program at Pershing High School recently celebrated an important milestone after successfully completing an 8-week Botvin Life Skills Training Program, facilitated by Fredrick Smith of Youth Connection. 🎓👏

Throughout the eight-week program, students participated in engaging lessons designed to strengthen leadership, decision-making, communication, and personal responsibility skills. The Botvin Life Skills curriculum helps students develop the tools needed to make positive life choices, manage peer pressure, and build confidence—skills that are especially valuable for those pursuing careers in law enforcement, criminal justice, and public safety.

At the conclusion of the program, students gathered for a special graduation celebration recognizing their dedication and hard work. Each participant proudly received a certificate of completion, a medal ribbon, and a commemorative trophy to honor their achievement in completing the course.

Special recognition was given to the top three participants, who demonstrated outstanding participation, leadership, and commitment throughout the program. These students were awarded Amazon gift cards for their excellence:
